Payphones and Calling Cards

Saturday, November 10th, 2007

My wife and I have a son in the Military, stationed in Pensacola FL. Can he use your service on any payphone?

Sure, as long as the payphone is in the United States. There is a 35 cent fee for making a call over a payphone using the Opex calling card. The fee goes to the owner of the payphone and will automatically be charged to your Opex account when making the call.

Opex Calling Cards

Wednesday, October 31st, 2007

Opex’s calling cards are billed at $0.149 per minute. You can request calling cards when you sign up for service, or at any other time once you are and Opex customer. The calling cards do not have any connection fees, but there is a charge for calls from pay phones. That fee is currently $0.35 per call, but those prices do change periodically, as the FCC updates rates and taxes for the telecommunications industry. The 35 cents goes to the owner of the pay phone. When you request a phone card, please be advised that there is an initial set up fee of $0.99 per card.
